Intern - Digital Learning, Learning Lab (DanChurchAid)

Are you interested in digital learning, technology and community engagement, and would you like to work in an organisation dedicated to development and humanitarian aid? Then Learning Lab at DanChurchAid could be the perfect place for you.

You will join a team of 10 colleagues who create, oversee and promote digital learning. Learning Lab facilitates the Fabo Learning Community, a network of 30 member organisations worldwide (read more at fabo.org). Fabo is our customised learning platform, built on Moodle, an open-source learning management system.

As our intern, you will work hands-on with digital learning: supporting the further development of Fabo, creating content for learning hubs for DCA departments and country offices, and exploring how AI can strengthen knowledge sharing across international organisations.

The internship is versatile, and just as you will learn from us, we want to learn from you. Below you will find more details.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the further development and use of AI for the Fabo.org community and internally in the Learning Lab.
  • Support the development of learning hubs and dedicated learning pages on the Fabo platform for DCA departments and regional/country offices (e.g., East Africa, Nepal).
  • Depending on your background, experience, and motivation, you may also contribute to content creation or editing, visualising and creating interactive learning experiences, graphics, or other digital learning materials.
  • Turning different types of content into guides and templates for the Fabo community and DCA work.
  • Support our communications efforts, including updates, newsletters, and internal/external messaging and events.
  • Other administrative assignments and ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • If you have any other relevant competences, we are very open to get those into play as well.

What we are looking for:

  • You are currently enrolled in a relevant full-time study programme that provides you with competences and abilities to take on the above tasks. This could, for example, be IT, Communications, Social Science, Multimedia Design, UX Design, Information Science or similar.
  • You are interested in digital learning, knowledge sharing, and international development.
  • Basic familiarity with Moodle and/or WordPress or previous experience with website editing is an advantage.
  • A flair for working with graphics or coding is an advantage.
  • You are fluent in English (our primary working language is English). Proficiency in Danish, Spanish, Arabic or French is an advantage.
  • You have a high level of digital literacy and curiosity about new technologies. We take a ‘blended approach’ to learning and the use of technology and digital solutions are highly integrated into our work.
  • Knowledge or experience with learning, research, capacity sharing, or communication is an advantage.

As our future intern you will contribute by:

  • Being engaged, flexible, and proactive with your given tasks.
  • Being open to contributing with suggestions on how to solve various challenges.
  • Bringing your previous experience into your tasks.
