Community Volunteers - متطوعون مجتمعيون

DanChurchAid (DCA) Syria invites applications for an experienced Community Volunteers who will be involved in conducting recreational and creative activities with children and adults at the DCA Community Safe Space in Al Tas-heeh neighbourhood within Al-Raqqa Governorate. The volunteers will play a vital role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for the community. 

Volunteer Responsibilities

The community volunteers will be called to lead the following tasks:

1. Activity Planning and Implementation

  • Assist in the planning and execution of recreational and other creative, non-structured activities designed for children and adults, ensuring that activities are safe, inclusive, and appropriate for different age groups. Specifically, the community volunteers will be expected to facilitate: Two “Tea and Chat” sessions with women per week (1-2 hours), two recreational sessions with children per week (1-2 hours), and 1 open community session (1-2 hours) per week. The sessions will mostly be taking place in the afternoon hours, depending also on the availability of the participants. 
  • Ensure that activities are engaging, accessible, and contribute to the development of participants' social, physical, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with fellow volunteers and staff to create a welcoming environment.
  • Encourage participation and foster teamwork, respect, and inclusivity.

2.  Supervision and Capacity Strengthening

  • Community volunteers will be supervised by the DCA PSS Assistants. Community volunteers will be attended a weekly 1-hour supervision session in the CSS. 
  • Community volunteers will be expected to attend a 1-week induction training when recruited. Periodic training may also take place throughout their engagement. 

3. Communication and Support

  • Maintain clear communication with the DCA staff and other volunteers regarding activity needs, concerns, or any incidents that occur.
  • Be vigilant and proactive in identifying any protection risks, potential safety hazards, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Address issues of behavior promptly, in a respectful and appropriate manner, following the center’s policies.
  • Promote DCA´s complaints and feedback mechanism. 
  • Offer assistance and guidance to participants as needed, ensuring that all individuals feel supported and included.
  • Encourage positive interactions among participants and mediate disputes or conflicts when necessary.
  • Identify and flag to the PSS Assistants cases of children who might be in need of specialized services or at risk of harm. 
  • Be able to receive disclosures of violence and guide people on how to access appropriate assistance. 

4. Adherence to Policies and Procedures

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, and DCA policies, including the PSEAH Policy, Child Safeguarding Policy and Gender Equality Policy. 
  • Respect the confidentiality of participants and avoid disclosing any personal information without appropriate consent.

5. Reporting and Evaluation

  • Report on the number of participants per session and the activities conducted on a weekly basis. 
  • Provide feedback on the activities conducted and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Report any incidents or concerns regarding the well-being of participants to the DCA team. 

 

Volunteer Selection Criteria

Volunteers will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Personal Attributes

  • Motivated, reliable, and punctual.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient, with a positive attitude toward working with diverse groups of people.
  • Understanding of the relevant context and sensitivities. 

2. Relevant Experience and Skills

  • Experience in working with children or adults in a recreational, educational, or social setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated competencies in foundational helping skills (empathy, confidentiality, etc.)
  • Knowledge of group management techniques and conflict resolution strategies is a plus.

3. Availability and Commitment

  • Volunteers must be available for the duration of the activity sessions and be willing to commit to the center's schedule for the agreed-upon period.
  • Volunteers should be willing to participate in training and orientation sessions as required by DCA

 

4. Volunteer Code of Conduct

Volunteers are expected to:

  • Treat all participants, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
  • Avoid any behavior or actions that could be perceived as discriminatory, harassing, or inappropriate.
  • Always be mindful of the power dynamics involved in working with vulnerable groups, such as children.
  • Abide by DCA´s codes of conduct at all times.

 

5. Duration and Hours of Volunteering

  • Volunteers will be expected to work during specific hours set by the community centre, which will be communicated in advance. The working hours will not exceed 16 per week. 
  • The role is expected to the 31  Dec 2026 with flexibility for extension If this activity is included in the next project

 

6. Reporting Structure

  • Volunteers will report to the protection Officer at the CSS.
  • Regular check-ins and evaluations will be conducted to ensure that the volunteers are supported and have an opportunity to provide feedback, in addition to the weekly supervision.

سيقوم المتطوعون المجتمعيون بالمهام التالية

تخطيط الأنشطة وتنفيذها

المساهمة في تخطيط وتنفيذ الأنشطة الترفيهية والإبداعية وغير المنظمة المخصصة للأطفال والبالغين، بما يضمن أن تكون الأنشطة آمنة وشاملة ومناسبة لمختلف الفئات العمرية

:يتوقع من المتطوعين تيسير 

جلستين أسبوعياً من نشاط "الشاي والمحادثة" للنساء (من ساعة إلى ساعتين لكل جلسة)

جلستين ترفيهيتين أسبوعياً للأطفال (من ساعة إلى ساعتين لكل جلسة)

جلسة مجتمعية مفتوحة واحدة أسبوعياً (من ساعة إلى ساعتين)

ستُعقد الجلسات غالباً خلال ساعات ما بعد الظهر، وذلك وفقاً لتوفر المشاركين

ضمان أن تكون الأنشطة تفاعلية ومتاحة للجميع وتسهم في تنمية الجوانب الاجتماعية والجسدية والنفسية للمشاركين

التعاون مع المتطوعين الآخرين وموظفي المنظمة لخلق بيئة ترحيبية وداعمة

تشجيع المشاركة وتعزيز العمل الجماعي والاحترام والشمولية

 الإشراف وبناء القدرات

سيخضع المتطوعون لإشراف مساعدي الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي في المنظمة

سيشارك المتطوعون في جلسة إشراف إسبوعية لمدة ساعة واحدة داخل المساحة المجتمعية الآمنة

سيُطلب من المتطوعين حضور تدريب تعريفي لمدة إسبوع واحد عند بدء التطوع، كما قد تُعقد تدريبات دورية خلال فترة مشاركتهم

 التواصل والدعم

المحافظة على تواصل واضح ومستمر مع موظفي المنظمة والمتطوعين الآخرين بشأن احتياجات الأنشطة أو المخاوف أو أي حوادث قد تقع

التحلي باليقظة والمبادرة في تحديد مخاطر الحماية أو المخاطر المتعلقة بالسلامة أو أي سلوك غير مناسب

معالجة المشكلات السلوكية بسرعة وبطريقة محترمة ومناسبة ووفقاً لسياسات المركز

الترويج لآلية الشكاوى والملاحظات الخاصة بلمنظمة

تقديم المساعدة والإرشاد للمشاركين عند الحاجة لضمان شعور الجميع بالدعم والاندماج

تشجيع التفاعلات الإيجابية بين المشاركين والمساعدة في حل النزاعات والخلافات عند الضرورة

تحديد وإبلاغ مساعدي الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي بالحالات التي قد تحتاج إلى خدمات متخصصة أو التي تكون معرضة لخطر الأذى، وخاصة الأطفال

القدرة على تلقي الإفصاحات المتعلقة بالعنف وتوجيه الأفراد إلى سبل الحصول على المساعدة المناسبة

 الالتزام بالسياسات والإجراءات

:الإلتزام بجميع بروتوكولات السلامة وسياسات المنظمة، بما في ذلك

سياسة الحماية من الاستغلال والانتهاك والتحرش الجنسي

سياسة حماية الطفل

سياسة المساواة بين الجنسين

احترام سرية المشاركين وعدم الإفصاح عن أي معلومات شخصية دون موافقة مناسبة

 التقارير والتقييم

إعداد تقارير أسبوعية تتضمن عدد المشاركين في كل جلسة والأنشطة المنفذة

تقديم الملاحظات حول الأنشطة المنفذة واقتراح سبل التحسين

الإبلاغ عن أي حوادث أو مخاوف تتعلق بسلامة أو رفاه المشاركين إلى فريق المنظمة

:سيتم اختيار المتطوعين بناءً على المعايير التالية

الصفات الشخصية

الحافز والموثوقية والالتزام بالمواعيد

مهارات قوية في التواصل والتعامل مع الآخرين والقدرة على العمل ضمن فريق

التحلي بالتعاطف والصبر وروح التعاون، مع موقف إيجابي تجاه العمل مع فئات متنوعة من الأشخاص

فهم السياق المحلي والحساسيات ذات الصلة

 الخبرات والمهارات ذات الصلة

يُفضل وجود خبرة سابقة في العمل مع الأطفال أو البالغين في بيئات ترفيهية أو تعليمية أو اجتماعية، ولكنها ليست شرطاً أساسياً

امتلاك مهارات المساندة والدعم الأساسية مثل التعاطف والحفاظ على السرية

يُعتبر الإلمام بأساليب إدارة المجموعات وحل النزاعات ميزة إضافية

التوفر والالتزام

يجب أن يكون المتطوعون متاحين خلال أوقات تنفيذ الأنشطة وقادرين على الالتزام بجدول المركز للفترة المتفق عليها

الاستعداد للمشاركة في الدورات التدريبية والجلسات التعريفية التي تطلبها المنظمة

 مدونة سلوك المتطوعين

يتوجب على المتطوعين:

معاملة جميع المشاركين والموظفين والمتطوعين الآخرين باحترام ولباقة

تجنب أي سلوك أو تصرف قد يُفهم على أنه تمييزي أو مسيء أو غير لائق

مراعاة ديناميكيات القوة المرتبطة بالعمل مع الفئات المستضعفة، وخاصة الأطفال

الالتزام بمدونات السلوك الخاصة بالمنظمة في جميع الأوقات

مدة التطوع وساعات العمل

يتوقع من المتطوعين العمل خلال ساعات محددة يحددها المركز المجتمعي ويتم إبلاغهم بها مسبقاً

لن تتجاوز ساعات التطوع 16 ساعة أسبوعياً

من المتوقع أن يستمر الدور التطوعي الى 31 كانون الأول 2026 ، مع إمكانية التمديد اذا تم اعتماد هذا النشاط للمشروع القادم

 هيكلية الإبلاغ

يرفع المتطوعون تقاريرهم إلى مسؤول الحماية في المساحة المجتمعية الآمنة

سيتم إجراء لقاءات متابعة وتقييمات دورية لضمان حصول المتطوعين على الدعم اللازم وإتاحة الفرصة لهم لتقديم ملاحظاتهم، بالإضافة إلى جلسات الإشراف الأسبوعية
